Original Post 1/26/13---

Just FYI, the Strays and GaMERCaT websites are down at the moment. Our host disabled them because they were using too much CPU and destabilizing the shared server. The downside of using Wordpress to automate everything, I suppose.

I'm working on getting back my access to them so I can try to reduce the usage, but customer support is being really slow to respond. The sites will hopefully be back up and running very soon.

Am I the only one that actually likes the new thumbnails? I used to miss a lot of great art because the thumbnail didn't appear interesting, but with the larger thumbs I can see the content a lot easier. I also love that it crops exceptionally tall/wide images to fit into a decent thumbnail instead of a 1 pixel tall/wide one.

And the alignment system is great. People keep saying it looks cluttered, but I think it's a clean look that uses the space more efficiently. The only issue I have is the lighter border/background that appears on odd sized images or transparent gifs/pngs. I think a better solution could be found for that, but I can't offer a suggestion at the moment.

I think people just need a chance to adjust to it. They sure do hate change.

Also I missed my dA anniversary again, dang it! I always think it's in April for some reason. I can't believe I've been on this site for 10 years! Wow!

Once again we're off traveling! This time we're heading to Chicago Comic Con in Rosemont IL! We'll have a booth in the dealer's room and will have all of my Sugar Bunny Shop goodies, as well as some pony fan art and *algy's stuff. Not to mention some hand-carved wizard wands by her father! Hey guys, sorry I haven't been very actively lately, especially with notes. I'm in overdrive preparing for Otakon this coming weekend, and then Chicago Comic Con 2 weeks after. It's madness, I tell you, madness!

Looking for a little help, here. My Mom is asking about a short story she read when she was a kid and I'm not having much luck finding it on my own. If anybody recognizes it or is able to somehow find it that would be really awesome.

She believes it was published in either Creepy or Erie Magazine. She doesn't remember the name or author, but here is the gist of the story:

There were these two beings on a distant world. There was also a big white bird.  One was a man, one a statue. The man always said that he would leave one day on that big white bird.  One night, while the man slept, the bird flew away. He ran to where the bird was, and the statue told him that in the night, the bird, Hope, flew away. The ending is, there is a world very far away, and on it there are two beings. Neither has moved for many centuries. One stands because he is made of stone - the other kneels because he is not.

Can anybody help?

Hey guys, sorry I've been kind of MIA lately. The past two months or so I've been preparing for ACEN and it's been taking up most of my time. We're going to be in the Dealer's Room this time, so I'm going all out!

Why do I suck so bad at responding to notes? I'm sorry, guys ;___; Sometimes I'm just like, "I'll answer these later," and "later" turns into four months. I just went through and answered everything I found that did not have a little reply icon, but if you've sent me a note in the past few months that I have not answered, please feel free to send it again.

As a side note, I will generally not answer notes asking which programs I use because I list them in the descriptions of every image I upload. Check there first!

I am also closed for commissions and do not take requests. I don't know when or if I will reopen for commissions, but I will be sure to let you all know in advance so you can be ready.

I also cannot make you a custom product. I'm sorry, but I usually have to order my stuff in bulk so it does not lend well to creating a single custom item. If you're interested in a single custom product, try Cafepress.com or Zazzle.com. They have pretty good rates for made-to-order stuff.

And finally, since I get asked this a lot, you can get your own charms printed at Printsess.com. I know there are one or two other places out there that can make them as well, but Printsess has the best quality by far.
