Sirinus, my black pegasus character in human form. A Painter experiment for the most part that turned into realism practice. I'm aware there are mistakes, but I like how it came out reguardless.

The feather sort of lost a bit of it's depth when I shrunk it...ah well. I also wanted his wings to be a bit shinier and have that purple/green sheen that raven feathers do, but I couldn't pull it off successfully.....soooo time for research. I'll get it right eventually.

Done in Painter. Apologies if it's too dark on your monitor...I lightened it as much as I was willing to.

Wonderful work for practicing with realism freehand with Painter. I always seem to have a hard time with proportions if I don't have a very good reference to use, and turning a character into something realistic is also quite a challenge. You did very well though, and I think the proportions are very good. I also really like how you blended the colors so nicely, and how you did such wondrous details in the the wings, expression, and the hair. The background also suits the mood as well. Keep up the beautiful work! :3
